  Bi 10023 A & C: The Beginnings


 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   An exegetical study will be given to the book of Genesis. A detailed study is given to the beginnings or generation of things. It sets forth several beginnings: That of the world, of life, of domestics relations, of institutions, of moral order, of sin and its consequences, of the scheme of redemption, of nations, and of the Messianic nation.

 

Bi 10033 A, B, & C: Bible Analysis

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

    An introductory study will be given to the proper methods of Bible interpretation. The study includes: how we got the Bible, Bible divisions, Miracles, Tongues, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Bible Typology.

 

Bi 10042 A & B: Writings of John

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

    An exegetical study will be given to the Gospel of John and the Epistles of John. This study will emphasize the Gospel of belief and how the Epistles were written against prevailing heresies.

 

Bi 10052 A: The Conquerings

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

   An exegetical study will be given to the books of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth.We will study Hebrew Nations conquest and settlement in Canaan. The study of Ruth in the time of conquest indicates that even in the darkest periods, there were always some homes where the choicest values of life were preserved.

 

Bi 20063 A, B, & C: New Testament Survey

 

3 Semester Hours (48) Each

   The New Testament Times will be studies: The political, the social, the economical and the Religious. The study will also cover how the New Testament got its name, and contents, the life of Christ the establishment of the church and the problems that arose in the early church.

 

Bi 20073 A, B, & C: Early Church Expansion

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   An exegetical study of the origin and early development of church will be given to the Gospel and the books of Acts. Special attention is given to the chronology of the first church established and the expansion of the Jewish church into the subsequent Gentile churches.

 

Bi 20083 A, & C: The Wanderings

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   A comprehensive study will be given to the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Exodus is so named because it is chiefly concerned with the oppression and the oppression and departure of the Hebrew from Egypt. Leviticus sets forth the laws of worship (priesthood, offerings and holiness). Numbers is composed of narratives giving vivid experiences of their journey toward Canaan. Deuteronomy the restatement of the covenant to a new generation.

 

Bi 20092 A, B & C: Great Doctrinal Epistle

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   An exegetical study will be given to the books of Galatians, Thessalonians and Romans. Emphasis is placed on the doctrinal debate between Law and Grace, the return of the Lord and the revelation of the righteousness of God to man.

 

Bi 20102 A: The Kingdom

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

   A comprehensive study will be given to the books of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles. This study will cover more than one hundred years of Hebrew history. During this period, the nation attained its highest rank as a nation of wealth and fame. A close look at all areas of Life: Economical, educational, political, social, and religious, will considered.

 

Bi 30113 A, B, & C: Old Testament Survey

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   An outline of the Old Testament will be studied. The study will include the Pentateuch, the time of the Judges the United Kingdom, and both the major and minor prophets.

 

Bi 30122 A & B: Prison Epistles

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

   An exegetical study will be given to the books of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Special attention is given to the teachings of the Apostle Paul concerning: The Churches, the walk and joy of believers, the pr-eminence of Christ in creation, and redemption.

 

Bi 20133 A, B, & C Pre-Exile Prophets

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   An exegetical study of the prophetic books written before the exile including Jonah, Obadiah, Joel, Amos Hosea, Isaiah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah and Jeremiah. Emphasis will be placed on the chronology and history of Israel, her downfalls, her place in Bible prophecy and on contemporary developments in the Middle East.

 

Bi 30142 A & B: Pastoral Epistles

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

   An exegetical study of the epistles of Timothy and Titus will deal with matters of organizational, devotional, official, and doctrinal problems.

 

Bi 30153 A, B & C: Synoptic Gospels

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   An exegetical study will be given to the three Gospels, Mathew, Mark, and Luke. Special attention is given to the difference in writing style and conformation of their stories.

 

Bi 30152 A & B: Exile Prophets

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

   A comprehensive study will be made concerning the Gentile governments leading up to the Anti-Christ as given by Daniel, Ezekiel and Esther.

 

Bi 40163 A & C: Bible Prophecy

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

    This study will deal with the events prior to and surrounding the second coming of Christ.

 

Bi 40172 A & B: General Epistles

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

    An exegetical study will be given to the books of Hebrews, James, Peter and Jude. A detailed study showing how God's revelation in Christ is superior to the revelation that came through The Law, that faith is exemplified during heretical times.

 

Bi 40182 A & B: Poetical Books

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

     This is a comprehensive study of the books classified as poetical. This study will include Job and Psalms; with emphasis on the historical figure Job and his test of faith; including a divisional of Psalms and the songbook of Israel.

 

Bi 40192 A & B: The Writings

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

     This study will involve an exegesis of the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon; with emphasis on the parallelism of Proverbs; the Koheleth or Preachers and his wisdom in Ecclesiastes; and the three interpretation, the literal, the allegorical and the typical, will be examined of the Song of Solomon.

 

Bi 40193 A,B & C: Apocalypse

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

     An exegetical study is given to the Revelation. A comprehensive study of the natural divisions making it less difficult to understand its contents, with emphasis on the unities, chronology, parallels, and contrast of the book.

 

Bi 40202 A & B: Post Exile Prophets

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

     This is an exegetical study of the prophets listed, with special emphasis placed on Gods's dealing with His people Israel and their restoration as a nation. This will include books of Ezra, Haggai, Zechariah, Nehemiah, and Malachi.

 

Bi 40212 A & B: Pneumatology

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

     This is a study of the Holy Spirit and His work in the New Testament.

 

Bi 40222 A & B: Life of Paul

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

     This course encompasses a historical study of the life of the great missionary and apostle to the Gentiles. His conversion, call, revelations, methods works, and messages are given a detailed study and analysis.

 

Bi 40233 A, B, & C: Systematic Theology I

 

3 Semesters Hours (48 CH) Each

     This is a study of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit and the fall and redemption of man.

 

Bi 50243 A, B, & C: Systematic Theology II

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

     This is an advanced and in depth study of Theology.

 

Bi 50053 A & B: Church Administration

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

     An exegetical study of the books of 1 and 2 Corinthians. Illustrating how the early churches dealt with problems with problems of that day.

 

Bi 50252 A: Biblical Figures of Speech

 

2 Semester Hours (32 CH) Each

     This course is a scientific study of figures of speech which are a basis of biblical interpretation.

 

Bi 50253 A, B, & C: Hermeneutics

 

3 Semester Hours (48 CH) Each

     This course is a scientific interpretation of the Bible. It will explain and illustrate the various the various principles which must be followed in order for a person to understand the Word of God.
